The Anniversary Market!

Part of the 2nd Anniversary Celebrations is a Super Sale Market... with real "fell of the back of a lorry" level of discounts.

It's a collection of Premium items, either things currently available for Horseshoes or things that have been special Horseshoe rewards at one time or another and have now been brought back.

However, NOW all these items are either one single HS, or, even better, available for COINS! (Including the Jungle Gym, now cheaper by 249HS!)

So let's take a look at all the sale items, we've included underneath the original prices.

Previous Prices:

Jungle Gym: 250HS
Huge Silver Font: 40HS
Fishin Hole: 20HS
Gazebo 25HS

Iiiiiiit's CAKE time!

Yes folks, it's time to get out the bunting and celebrate the Second Anniversary of Frontierville/Pioneer Trail! (Yes, it's entering the Terrible Twos...)

We're going to be celebrating the Event with a big Homestead Carnival, a HUGE amount of discounts in the market and a series of missions with some cracking rewards.

So let's put the cake in the oven, fire off some party poppers and see what's coming...

It'll all kick off with the oldie but a goodie, the popup.

Once that appears you'll see the maternity area has gone from the left hand side of the homestead to be replaced by the Anniversary Park, where we'll be holding our Carnival.

It'll also kick off a series of four missions (all details HERE) which will see us through building some floats (all details HERE) and have some immense rewards coming from them, cakes, a horse, some special trees and, drumroll please....

...a voucher to increase your Orchard by 25%! Yes, the voucher will be used to build another expansion, above and beyond the normal ones to your orchard, capping the max at 1'250 for now.

We'll also see a big Anniversary Market, which contains the biggest sale we've ever seen in the game. FORTY-THREE premium items, now either a single Horseshoe apiece or switched to just costing coins. You can see all the info and the savings in our dedicated Market post.

And finally we'll see a new free gift item that will drop things needed during the missions, Festive Balloons!

And some new special items:

So let's get celebrating :D

Get The Biggest Clock Around

They've been teasing us with it since day one of the Town Hall and finally the next step in helping Marco and Polo put us on the map is here, the Clock Tower!

Every map-worthy town has moved on from sundials and guesswork and show off their technical timekeeping by popping up a huge clock for all to see. So that's what we're going to be working on next, with an immense reward at the end of it...

So, as usual Marco and Polo will pop up and start the whole thing off...

That'll start a four mission thread (all details HERE) and put down the base for the Clock Tower.

The Tower itself is a small footprint building with three stages (all building details HERE).

Now here comes the great part. Just as the Town Hall brought us the Daily Doubler, the Clock Tower brings us the Fast Forward Boost!

This instantly takes time off EVERY animal, fruit tree and crop, yes every CROP on your homestead!

Each stage gives a different level of boost. Completing stage one gives a 25% reduction, Stage two, 40% and stage three gives a whopping 60% reduction in time to all animals, fruit trees and crops on your stead.

To give a practical example by our calculations that would mean taking 14 hours off a Steel Forge crop, add in the Irrigation Station and all of a sudden a Steel forge takes about 5 hours to grow!

The boost is just like the Daily Doubler, it will regenerate by itself in 5 days.

The Clock Tower also has it's own collection... (PLEASE NOTE: This is a preproduction image, the reward is 5 speedy hands boosts and 300XP)

We'll see three new items on the free gift page, all of which are needed for the missions and all of which are also given as mission rewards.

First up is a simple animal, the Raccoon.

Next is a new fruit tree, the Great Madrone. This has its up side of giving 640XP on harvest, but the downside that they take 10 days to be ready, you can only have 20 at a time.

They do come with a nice collection however...

And finally, Brass Forges... which are pretty self explanatory, you know the Steel Forges that give steel? Well... there we go.

So, get yourself ready with some new blueprints, because this new boost could make a big difference...

Prize Pig variations!

All the Prize Pigs have four variations, let's take a look at them all!

How Much Is That Piggy In The Windows(tm)

I'll tell you this for nothing, no Country fair is right and proper without a Prize Pig contest!

The biggest porkers, the fattest snouts, the roundest bellies, these are the kings of the pig world, and now it's your time to step up to the trough and get yourself a blue rosette by growin a massive Prize Pig with a belly like a beer barrel and an appetite like a starved wolverine!

But, I hear you cry, how dya make yourself a Prize Pig?! Well, that there is easy! It's all told to ya in four missions (all details HERE) and a building.

First up you'll be building yourself a Pig Pavillion, where you'll show of your Porcine Prince to all and sundry and, most important of all, find out just how big yer bacon is!

The Pavillion has three build stages and finishes up all fine and dandy ready for weighing. (All crafting details are HERE.)

Next, it's time to team up! That's right, team up! Ain't no good trying to make a prize pig on yer own, you need teamwork, not least to feed the humongous hammy.

First, y'all need to buy your pig, some are HS, some are unlocked as the missions go on...

Every pig get's two "parents" and appears on both their homesteads! Every time they feed it Hog Chow (more on that later) it grows on BOTH! Meaning you both get the rewards for finishing it off!

They're fed special Hog Chow, made from Ground Corndogs and Sugary Shortening, the first that drops from Corndog crops and sometimes Corn, the second y'all get from friends...

There are inventory limits, 30 Hog Chow, 50 Sugary Shortener and 80 Ground Corndogs

There's five stages to each pig that happen after a certain times o' feedin'.

2 tends - 5 tends - 10 tends - 15 tends, that's each stage so in all, 32 tends, and y'all got a week to feed em up to full size!

Once that week is up, or when they've been fed 32 times, it's time to weigh them! Their weight is determined by how much Chow they've been fed on and determines just how much prize y'all go home with. Anything over 300 pounds is a blue ribbon!

AND, once that's all weighed and done, the Pig becomes a standard animal on your stead and fed in the normal way! Oh, and drops items for the new Prize Pig Collection, that has Hog Chow as a reward!

So get your Hog On and start growing a Prize Porker, and you'll be taking home some great prizes and the title of  Prince/Princess of Pigs! (delete as applicable)

She's a Fair Cop...

Trust me, Sheriff Mae is like a Mountie, she always get's her man... especially when this one really WAS her man before running off to join up with that darn Amy Steele and the Gratchett Gang.

It's time to help tenacious Sheriff Mae get her hands on her old flame Birdie in a series of missions to get the dastardly bandits that have been terrorising the land behind bars where they deserve to be!

It'll all kick off with the usual mission popup...

...that will start one overview mission (NO REPEATING!) and 5 basic missions, See details HERE.

It'll also ask you to place the new Jail, ready to build specially for the Gratchett Gang to reside in!

The Jail has four cells you need to build, one for each darn Gratchett and Birdie! See crafting totals HERE.

It'll also have a link to the missions that will lead to you catching the Gratchetts....

There's no new crops or trees, everything we need for items drops from items we already have, but there are three new collections.

One is open from the start, for the Jailhouse itself:

The other two open as they're needed from missions, the first drops from Flax, the second from Corn.

So let's get chasing down some banditos!

Sitting the Babies.

[PLEASE NOTE: This post contains the word "repeat" and is therefore rated CTA, Cup of Tea Advised.]

It's date night on the homestead and our newest married couple are going to have a romantic night out while you, being such a caring person that you are, will babysit the twins.

In essence this is going to mean an 8 day mission thread, with missions being released every 24 hours or so (times may vary) but, you'll be glad to hear, no building!

The missions (all details HERE) will be available from the cabin and will take you through having some fun with the kids before lying them down to sleep.

And now the bad news... yes, there's a repeat element to the missions, Each mission rewards you with "Twin Hugs" which need collecting for the overview, and there's two missions that need repeating. It's still, on the surface, a lesser workload than previous repeatable missions.

The missions will give out individual rewards and also rewards after completing days 1-4 (2 Raging Buffalo) and then days 5-8 (3 Fanny's Crates). You'll also pick up the Babysitters Birdbath, a decoration that gives a bonus that can be collected every 3 hours.

Finally we'll also see two new free gift items, Honeydew Melons and Nectarine trees. We'll get some as mission rewards and will be able to send any others we need.

So lets be good people and give the lovebirds a date night.
