That's the Dogs sorted... what's next...

I think it's obvious from this "Pets Are Coming" teaser picture that the hungry ol' dog finding a place on our homesteads may not be the last one we see.

Obviously early release images such as this one often differ from the end product, none of the dogs here appear to be the same as the one just released, but it does show that the Frontierville Devs might have a few more ideas about what we're going to have around the Homestead.

With different dog breeds and a few cats in there is seems this one hound may not be the start and end of our pet procedures, although right now there's a limit of a single filled dog kennel but it does say it'll be homing more pets at some point...

Why not vote on our poll of what you'd like to see next pet wise or come give your thoughts on out Facebook Page?

New Building - Doghouse and Old Farm Dog!

So the new addition to the Frontier is an old farm dog! He'll be discovered in the same way as an injured animal, specifically in this case as a random event from chopping lumber trees (but not fruit trees like the Deer). Unlike injured animals you're also limited to just the one dog in a kennel on your homestead.

We will have to build a kennel for him to live in and feed him like we do the injured animals otherwise he gets very down in the mouth! You will find him when clearing debris on your homestead and you will have to feed him 10 Chunky Chow and then "coax" him into his kennel before you are able to complete the building process.

Just like Critter Milk Chunky Chow will be available in the market for 8HS for one and 50HS for a pack of 10, enough to fully feed him up.

We will need to ask for these building supplies in order to finish the his little home..

There is also a series of 5 missions that accompany this building - more information HERE

Here is the collection for the Doghouse that can be found during the whacking stage and when collecting the daily bonus. When completed this will give 25XP and a Goose Ready Bonus.

Finkerton's Detective Agency Finds Lost Players?!

The Frontier is soon going to get it's own Sherlock Holmes as the Finkertons Detective Agency Building moves in with an intriguing mission... to get players who've quit to return to the game or "track down" current players if you don't want to ask folks who've left or don't play.

The building itself is fairly small 5x4 tiles and is built using all new materials, specifically 10 Desks, Curtains and Large Hinges, along with 15 Coat Racks, Frosted Glass and Floorboards (The final three are direct requests, the first three wall requests.)

The building will also include it's own 5 mission thread (details HERE) which will introduce the Finkertons and, in Mission V introduce what appears to be the Detective Agency's main task, collecting back lost sheep from the Frontierville flock... well, members anyway.

Outside the building will stand Private Detective Finkerton who will guide you through "outstanding warrants" and "found friends"... in other words fellow players to "find" and been brought back respectively.

First the selection screen, this is random from your neighbours and can be refreshed, it contains ALL different types of "Lost Settler" from those who don't play to those who do, so you can pick and choose who to ask.

The second and third screens allow you to see who has invites open, and who has accepted...

Then you can collect your reward on those who've said yes!

There will then be a leaderboard tracking you and your friends progress in getting players back into the game. Points and rewards are offered depending on how long the players have been "missing"

Over 14 Days - Three Care Packages - 4 points

7-14 Days - One Finkerton's Crate - 3 points (A Finkerton Crate holds three rare collection items)

3-7 Days - One Breakfast - 2 Points

Non FTV Playing Cityville and Farmville players - Four Care Packages - 5 Points

Active Friends - 100 coins - 1 Point

As you can see, with current players an option and people who simply haven't logged in for 3 days there should be options for everyone to join in the fun. With the mission rewards for the "Welcome Back" as high as they appear to be it might also be welcomed!

The building comes (as they all do) with it's own collection: Badge, Handcuffs, Invisible Ink, Notebook and Shoes

Which rewards a Finkertons Footprints, a decoration.

And a set of badges for finding lost settlers...

Badge 1 - Find 10 Friends - Reward - 250XP, 200 coins, One Fast Hands Boost
Badge 2 - Find 25 Friends - Reward - 500XP, 500 coins, Three Fast Hands Boosts
Badge 3 - Find 60 Friends - Reward - 1000XP, 1000 coins, Six Fast Hands Boosts
Badge 4 - Find 100 Friends - Reward - 2000XP, 2000 coins, Ten Fast Hands Boosts

The Expansion Is Nearing!

So, the time is coming upon us!

Most people will soon be seeing the Get Enormous Homestead around their plot teasing us for the new stuff on it's way!

Clicking on the border brings up this popup offering early sale...

There's still no release date and for 185 Horseshoes I can only think it's going to be at least another week, possibly two or more, before we all get it for free, folks won't want to pay that out and then everyone else gets it tomorrow! The repercussions would be immense so I'm guessing most of us will still be waiting some time for it.

As we can see, it's definitely two tiles along two sides and, just like all previous expansions, there are some nice little goodies to be had!

This time as the plotline involves wild animals we get a rock formation with a wild little cave in one corner! Not sure I want to guess what those eyes belong to...

There are also a number of collectibles crates, two Mystery Animals and a Big Chest full of exciting stuff to be had once the Expansion is completed (We believe the chest will hold rare and/or discontinued decorations and other items).

Want to know what you'll need to do for it?

Take a look HERE for the missions, HERE for a rundown of the required resources and HERE for a list of what will be obtainable from Care Packages through the missions.

St Patrick's Day Goodies!

Top O The Morning To Ya!

It's time to green the beer, pop on your shamrock hat and go a searching for Leprechauns!

Yes, it's St Patrick's Day and there's a whole heap of new stuff coming in Frontierville.

As well as two mission threads (see all the mission details HERE) we're going to be seeing some fun little changes to our homesteads.

The missions will begin with a two mission thread called the Leprechaun hunt which introduces the new varmint, but one that's a LOT less annoying than the coyote... the arrival of a Frontierville Leprechaun :D

Once they're completed there's a bigger 5 mission St Patrick's Day Celebration mission thread to last through the event!

The varmint is going to be an integral part of the two mission threads and will pop out from Clover, Cabbage, Potatoes (had to be the tatties) and cows.

Finding and catching the little green chap pops out all the usual bonuses along with a very small chance of picking up a Pot O' Gold! It also counts towards a new badge, specially given for taking your spade to the guy and scaring him from your land!

Hearts over Yellow Moons:
-  Catch: 3 Leprechauns
-  Reward: 70 coins, 300 XP

Orange Stars in Clover
-  Catch:  10 Leprechauns
-  Reward: 300 coins, 1,000 XP

Horseshoes for Diamonds
-  Catch:  25 Leprechauns
-  Reward: 3,700 coins, 2,500 XP

Red Balloons and a Pot of Gold
-  Catch:  50 Leprechauns
-  Reward: 7,337 coins, 5,000 XP

As ever with special events there's also it's own collection of a Penny Whistle, a Pint Glass, a Shamrock, A Hurly Stick and a Celtic Harp.

Completing that get's you a Pot O'Gold! A mystery crate for St Patrick's :D (Esta hopes it has a Penguin with a shamrock on it's head...)

The Pot O gold can contain a Keg, a Green Waterfall, a Green Fountain, a Leprechaun Statue or a Festive Table as long as a bundle of coins, XP, boosts and collection items!

There's also a St Patrick's Day Rainbow in the market for 25 Horseshoes :)

More as and when we get it!
