Get Your Ass Out Of Trouble

We need 6 strong pioneers and a lot of rope, this is one stuck ass!

Yep, the latest injured animal has hit the Frontier and it needs your help to get out of a very sticky situation.

The Brown Mule is discovered when clearing grass or harvesting crops and is stuck in a hole, needing a good yank to free it and allow it to roam your Homestead.

First you need to click the mule yourself to try and dig it out (using up three energy) then it says you're not strong enough and need to get some help!

You do this by requesting (in the same way as asking for blankets or berries) help from your neighbours to pull.

Once out it becomes a collectible animal dropping injured animal collectibles every 24 hours plus the usual mule bonuses.

Spring Has Sprung

I see trees of green... and new injured animals too!

We may all have seen the trees in Frontierville have returned to being green but their change signals more than just a colour change! We're going to be seeing new injured animals and new missions... plus another collection dropping with the frequency of other recent specials such as the New Year Collection and the St Patrick's Day.

For the three Spring Is Sprung missions click HERE

Now, onto the new animals!

While tending trees, both lumber or fruit, you might come across a Black Egg containing a Black Turtle or a Teal Egg containing a Black Robin...

They need caring for with seven Fuzzy Blankets, again requested from friends. It works much the same way as an injured animal.

If that's not your thing, while tending rocks and grass you may come across a burrow which will contain either

A Bear Cub or a Chinchilla!

Feeding them seven Juicy Berry's each will then "heal" them and make them a tendable animal on your farm. As usual the berries are requested from friends.

Along with the new animals doing pretty much anything will pop up some familiar collectibles... The Spring Weather Collection that was attached to the Spring Groundhog are having their own version of Groundhog Day and are returning with a new Reward for trading them in, a Mud Puddle and 50XP.

Any other info if and when we get it! But if you have anything to say about the new animals or missions be sure to visit our Facebook Page and have your say.

That's the Dogs sorted... what's next...

I think it's obvious from this "Pets Are Coming" teaser picture that the hungry ol' dog finding a place on our homesteads may not be the last one we see.

Obviously early release images such as this one often differ from the end product, none of the dogs here appear to be the same as the one just released, but it does show that the Frontierville Devs might have a few more ideas about what we're going to have around the Homestead.

With different dog breeds and a few cats in there is seems this one hound may not be the start and end of our pet procedures, although right now there's a limit of a single filled dog kennel but it does say it'll be homing more pets at some point...

Why not vote on our poll of what you'd like to see next pet wise or come give your thoughts on out Facebook Page?

New Injured Animal - Black Deer -

A lot of people have been asking when the next Injured Animal will appear - well we can't tell you WHEN it will appear but we can show you what it might BE!

A Black Deer!

We believe it will appear from the woods...so find him when chopping trees or collecting from fruit trees for instance. You will continue to ask for Critter Milk in the same way as you do already.

What do you think to the new addition? Come and join the conversation on our Facebook Page

New Feature - Injured Animals

Over the next day or so we will see a new feature arrive on the Frontier - let your Animal loving instincts show by nursing injured animals back to health!

You may find an injured animal on your homestead, whilst clearing grass or feeding cows and oxen . You will be alerted when you find an injured animal with a pop-up asking you if you want to help or abandon the animal.

With your first injured animal you will get an initial mission where you will -
  • Move the Injured Animal
  • Feed 3 Critter Milk
  • Fully Rehabilitate the Animal by tending it
After this initial mission you will not get the mission again but you can still find more injured animals once every 1-3 days or so.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must move the Animal before healing it, otherwise it loses it's "injured" designation and you'll have to wait for another one to show up to complete the mission.

If you chose to help then you will need to ask your friends to send you milk bottles to give to the animal and restore them to full health. You can get up to 5 bottles from friends who click on your post and can post every 8 hours. You can also get milk from collecting from the feeds put up by neighbours. It will take 6 bottles to restore the animal to full health.

A visiting neighbour can tend your injured animal and heal it but it will use up one of YOUR critter milks, it's not counted as a freebie.

Once you have nursed it to health you get to keep it on your homestead and post to share some milk bottles with friends.

There are also 4 Badges to be released with this feature -

Badge 1 - Heal 3 Animals Reward 50 Xp, White Hedgehog.

Badge 2 - Heal 10 Animals - Reward 500XP, 1 Horse.

Badge 3 - Heal 25 Animals - Reward 1'000XP, Brown Alpaca.

Badge 4 - Heal 50 Animals - Reward 2'500XP, Red Ferret.

New Mystery Animals!

It's that time again, the release of the eighth mystery animal crate from Zynga.

This time around there are actually two animals that you'd be likely to see on a homestead, although it must be said the third one is a little more... off the wall. ;) As with the contents of the Resolutions Crates it appears that once you have a certain animal you can't get it again unless you've first collected all nine.

First up we have the good old Frog, in all the traditional colours of Green, Yellow and... well, Purple (could happen).

Next up is swans (did you know in my home of the UK the Queen has control over swans?) and they come in Black, White and... Pink. Specially for the 9 year old girl in your life!

Finally, because it's not a Mystery Animal Crate without something head-scratchingly weird to appear on a Homestead, it's the seal in Grey, Brown or White.

They'll cost 35 Horseshoes for each crate with a 10XP boost for buying one and a 300XP boost for opening it.

Once on your homestead they'll give 4XP, 60 gold and 4 food each tend, with a 5XP bonus and 30 coins for a neighbour if they feed them when ready. Feeding an unready one gives 2XP and 25 coins.

You can also sell the animals for 3600 coins and 20 coins if you really don't like the one you've been given *cough*pink swan*cough*
