Lose Weight On The Pole!

With Fanny back at work at the school making sure our kids are taught well and Hank managing to foist all his enthusiastic building projects on us... (Does Fanny know when he says "I can do that!" it's us doing the work or does he get all the benefits?) Hanks been somewhat sedentary since the twins were born, spending his time sat at home babysitting.

Because of that his Winter walks with Fanny have left him feeling tired before he's even got over the first hill with her, and he knows he needs to get toned up!

So for that he's going to... Oh, who am I kidding? WE'RE going to build him a climbing wall!

As usual, it's popup time!

This will open up a series of four missions and a weirdly disconnected wrapper (all details HERE) and a four stage build, the climbing Wall (all details HERE).

Once the climbing wall is built it's time to get a much fitter, healthier Hank and you know what that means? He'll actually do some WORK!

Yes, once the climbing wall is fully completed you can hire Hank to work like a building boost!

As I mentioned earlier, as well as the climbing wall there's also a strange "wrapper", strange in the fact it's not really got anything to do with the other mission thread...

We'll be healing a new kind of injured animal from the marketplace, eggs that turn into birds of prey...

Each needs Incubation Blankets, which are made from down feathers that drop from Geese and Cloth Comforters that are a wall post item.

As well as the eggs we'll see a few new things in the market, two new crops and a tree that are free gifts...

...and two animals that are a mission reward.

Of course we'll also see a collection that drops from those items.

So, lets help Hank get himself fit for Fanny!

Frosty the Cowboy

It's Winterfest time!

Yes, it's that time of year when the Frontier folks celebrate the snow and ice around the homestead, and is there a better way of doing that than building a snowman?

At the heart of the Winterfest celebration is the Snowman contest to decide who wins the Winterfest Crystal Crown, judged this year by none other than Fanny herself.

As usual, a popup will herald it's arrival...

That will kick off a four mission thread with a wrapper (all details HERE) and a three (yes three) step build (all details HERE), the Snow Slide!

This building will contain the mechanics for building your snowmen, starting with buying a snowman to begin, there are four different types, two for coins, two for horseshoes...

Those are then fed 34 times by yourself, or combined with a partner, with Sculpting Snow, a new craftable item made from 2 Ice Blocks (drops from Snow Piles and the new Frozen Pump crop) and 3 Farrier Rasps (Wall Request).

Once they're completed they'll be judged, and anything over 100 points gives you a gold ribbon!

It'll also turn the built snowman into one of a handful of different designs for each type...

We'll see the usual two screens to help us organise, the Snowman Manager...

...and the Show Pen, which will store Snowmen when you complete the missions.

For those folks who like a bit of colour in their windows there are four new stained glass panels.

We'll see one new free gift crop, the aforementioned Frozen Pumps...

...and a brand new collection that gives them!

So let's get sculpting!

Playing Santa!

This Christmas there's trouble on the frontier!

Santa has lost a bundle of letters from some of the nicest children on the homestead and needs you to help check what they need and use your new toy factory to build their pressies!

As usual things begin with a popup...

From there we'll see the start of a five mission thread (all details HERE) and a four step build, the Toy Factory (all details HERE).

That will let us build the presents a bunch of children on the homestead won't get to have since their letters to Santa went missing!

As well as building toys we'll also be fixing them up with some new cuddly injured "animals" that are healed with workshop magic.

We'll see two new items, a free gift/Premium purchase crop...

... And a mission reward/Premium purchase tree.

So, it's time to do our bit to save Christmas for five special kids!

Toys For Tots!

This Christmas we can help more than just five kids on our homestead as Zynga and Facebook team up with the Toys For Tots charity!

We'll be able to buy the new Toys For Tots premium crate for 100HS with all proceeds going to Toys For Tots, a charity that makes sure underprivileged children get a Christmas present to remember.

There's also a Timed mission that tells us more about the charity and goes alongside the latest mission thread, all details are HERE.

Cover Your Glass

It's been nasty weather on the ol' Frontier and it's taken the toll on some of your buildings!

Storms have battered your greenhouse and damaged many of the glass panes that keep your crops safe and warm, so it's time to do something about it.

Of course, you could just whack up some plain glass again, but we all know what Fanny is like, when she spots a chance for some homestead beautification she grabs it with both hands, so we'll be making something a little prettier than just standard glass.

As usual, it'll start with a popup... with a slightly more film noir image than usual.

That will kick off a mission thread of four standard missions and a wrapper (all details HERE) and a build, the Glassworks, a colourful building that grows as you build (all building details HERE).

The Glassworks will allow us to create Stained Glass in a similar fashion to quilting.

We'll see the same 4x4 square as quilting and a collection of various glass panels we can craft, each one made with one coloured ingredient from a homestead drop and a universal request item, Perfect Glass.

This is one of the panels for an example, and you can see ALL the panels and info in our Panels guide HERE.

Just as with Quilting we'll create individual windows with our own choice of panels and then temper them to get the rewards, with each different panel giving different rewards.

And then, when it's done, our Greenhouse gets a new colourful look!

We'll see a number of new items, including three crops that have previously been locked in different ways opening up to be coin crops. Two of these were mission locks, the Spring Flowers which were only opened by an old timed mission and the Golden Roses which were opened by the Prospect Falls Preparation missions.

The third is Snow Crystals! Yes, the previously premium crop will now be opened up for everyone for free.

We'll see two new free gift crops, Glass Roses and Glass Forges... (You'll be pleased to know Glass Forges are only 1 hour crops!)

Which will also be in the market along with some new items which will also be mission rewards!

Including three Festive Glass Panels!

Of course we'll also see a collection that drops from Tempering Stained Glass... (See what drops what HERE)

So, time to get those dyes out and craft!
